Environmental Studies, as a subject, was introduced in the Institute in 2007 as per the directions of the Rashtra Sant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. It has been introduced as a compulsory subject by the University for BA Part II, hence it was included in the curriculum of the Institute also.
The first batch of students of BA Part II appeared for the examination in 2008. The subject is evaluated in two parts:
a) Theory- based on multiple choice questions-75 marks
b) Field work with submission of Practical records -25 marks
The students are given grades as per the marks obtained in the Annual exams and a record of the same are submitted to the University for inclusion in the mark-list issued by the University. Passing this subject is mandatory for the students
