DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY

      The department of psychology was established on 01/06/1964 under the headship of Prof. R.V. Pandit. thereafter the responsibility of department was successfully carried out by Prof N.B.Dhule ,Smt S.A. Deshmukh , Dr. D.S. Janbandhu , Smt. Theophilus , Dr. V.K. Dubule and presently the responsibility is being carried by DR. Milli Baby and Dr. Shailesh Bansode.

      The psychology laboratory was so well equipped that when the Nagpur University started the M.A. course of psychology, the first few batches of student had to come to the Morris College to conduct their prescribed practical in psychology.

      The Department had some of the eminent psychologists such as-

      PROF. R.V.PANDIT, a well- known scholar and writer of many books on psychology.

      PROF.S.W. Deshpande , well acknowledged scholar in this field who retired from P.G.T. Department of Psychology, Pune university .

      DR. D.S. Janbandhu, who retired from this department, is an expert in the field of psychology as a research designer. He had successfully completed major ICSSR research projects. He also appeared in “Men of Achievements” published from Cambridge.

      The standards achieved by the above were maintained through meticulous planning by Dr. Smt. Vinita Theophilus and Dr. V.K.Dubule.

       The Department of Psychology is fully aware of its responsibility towards each and every student who seeks admission to develop his or her personality. With this purpose, the department forms The Psychology Association in every academic year.
